Vision and Values
Our School Vision is taken directly from the words of Jesus in the Bible – John 10.10. Jesus tells his disciples that he has come that all people ‘might have life and have it to the full’. What a wonderful promise – that we can all enjoy more and better life than we ever dreamed of!
Our vision then takes these words and applies it to all who are connected with our school - children (past, present and future) families, staff, governors and the wider community.
‘To enable our whole school community to live life in all its fullness’
We express this through the 5G’s which are said and signed in Collective Worship each day:
God is love – Father, Son and Holy Spirit - we love because He loves
As a church school our self-understanding is based on God who is love at his very centre and who is always reaching out to us all in love. We aspire to ensure that God’s unconditional love affects every relationship, every word and deed within our school.
Growing physically, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, socially, confidently and happily
We seek to nurture each other as we grow to reach our full potential and become more the people God intended us to be.
Grace - being forgiven and forgiving
The children sign ‘grace’ by giving themselves a little hug. Every day is a fresh start.
Giving - generously to our neighbours
From supporting a desk buddy to thinking and acting globally each child is inspired to make a difference
Guiding our children in their journey through life
Children are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions and their learning and acquire resilience with compassion.
This is an expression of our current collective understanding of the 5G’s but in the coming months we will be developing this with the children as we all learn and grow together as a school community.
