Crystal Kids - term time only & Holiday Club (Easter & Summer)

Crystal Kids - our before/after school club (term time only) and Easter/Summer holiday provision — is an extremely popular and invaluable service for many parents and carers of children who attend St Matthew’s. The children are cared for by familiar, dedicated and experienced staff. The staff work under the same flag of gentle ethos and attitude as the school and provide a very caring, nurturing and enriching environment. The children are offered a selection of activities which range from relaxed to stimulating.

The number of Crystal Kids’ sessions are limited due to staffing levels and restrictions on numbers for which we can cater.

Before/After School Club (term time only)

Parent/carers interested in breakfast or after school club sessions at Crystal Kids for their child should complete an application form (see below) or email: clubs@stmatthews.rbksch.org. On receipt of application; if a session requested is available this will be booked on School Gateway system via school administration. If a session is not available the application will be held on Crystal Kids waiting list and offered when a space becomes available. The waiting list is kept on a first come, first served basis.

New to Reception Intake September

The process for New Reception parents to apply for a Crystal Kids sessions is outline below.

3 June	Parents will receive an email detailing how to apply for Crystal Kids sessions.
10 June	Applications will open at 7.30am on 10 June. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis and applications received before this date/time will not be accepted.
19 June	Parents will be informed of the outcome of their application for Crystal Kids place
26 June	Parents must respond accepting or declining the offer of Crystal Kids sessions. Any places not accepted by 26 June will be offered to the waitlist.

Please note: 30 hours free childcare/early education is your child's funded school place in Reception class. Anything over that (breakfast/after school club) does have to be paid for by the parent/carer.

Fees

From September 2025 fees will be

£10.00 — Breakfast Club includes Breakfast (term time only) : 7.30am until start of school day
£20.00 — After School Club includes hot tea (term time only) : end of school day until 6.10pm

All places must be paid either monthly, half termly or termly strictly in advance either via School Gateway our school correspondence/payment system or we accept childcare vouchers and HMRC Tax-Free childcare payments.

Childcare voucher payments must be organised, prior to starting Crystal Kids, to ensure payment can be made on date specified.

Crystal Kids Holiday Club - Summer Holiday Club now booking

Summer Holiday Club is now available to book on School Gateway.

Tuesday 21 July - Friday 24 July 2026

Monday 27 July - Thursday 30 July 2026

Bookings can be made via School Gateway or contact the school office if you wish to pay be tax-free childcare or childcare vouchers.

Crystal Kids runs a Holiday Club over the Easter and Summer holidays. Parents will be notified when bookings go live, this will be in the term prior to the holiday club. You will be able to book and pay for holiday club through School Gateway.

If you wish to pay via by childcare vouchers/tax-free childcare please email crystalkids@stmatthews.rbksch.org with the full name of your child and the dates requested.

As this club is run by staff who work at St Matthew's, Crystal Kids does not offer Holiday Club provision for any other school holidays.
