Curriculum

At St Matthew’s we pride ourselves on delivering an ambitious and enriching curriculum that not only delivers a broad and balanced curriculum in line with National Curriculum expectations, but that provides the children with a rich and varied approach to learning. By immersing the children in a subject whether it is through trips; visitors; thematic links across the curriculum or a whole day immersive experience, we provide the children with an overarching and deep knowledge of the topics they study.

As well as our learning indoors, we are fortunate to have extensive outdoor space-including our meadow, adventure playground and sports field. Through these open spaces, we are able to offer all year groups the opportunity to develop their understanding of the world by taking their learning from the classroom and out to nature through our WILD Passport outdoor learning curriculum.
