Rights Respecting School

We are a rights respecting school. This means that we teach pupils that they have rights and responsibilities. All pupils are expected to carry out responsibilities around school, in order to have the right to come to a school which is both a happy and safe place to be, as well as a well-looked after environment. We place a great emphasis on promoting the Rights of the Child and encourage children to respect the rights of others. Our school has a happy and friendly atmosphere in which honesty, courtesy and consideration for others can flourish along with a high priority on ensuring that all children receive an education suited to their individual needs.
The document below shows the UNICEF articles that are particularly important to the children here at school. Our children's steering group meet regularly and discuss what we can do to make children's rights at the forefront of our all minds.
