Author Francesca Simon pays us a visit!
Today, St. Matthew's was very fortunate to have the very talented, internationally best-selling author Francesca Simon in with us. We had our own private reading of her new book 'Up, Up and Away', which celebrates 25 years of Horrid Henry and includes the 100th story in the series. Many excellent questions were asked by the children in the Q & A's, and they were able to get an inside scope to all the secrets of where Francesca get's her inspiration for names of characters, plot lines etc. She even gave us some tips on how to become published authors: read plenty; carry an idea jot book around with you; think of an ending to your stories before you begin and always finish a piece of writing.
I wonder if anyone can rival Francesca Simon's 6 hours a day reading?
