Rugby Win!

On the 12th October, Miss Tibbs took a St. Matthew’s Rugby Team to play Tag Rugby at Dinton Field. (It was Finn, Cian, Freddie, India, Bodhi, Abi, Emma and Louisa who took part.)

Each player can go anywhere in Tag Rugby as long as they don’t go in front of the ball and they pass backwards.

In the first match, the score was 2-0 (playing against OLI).

In the second match, we won 3-0 against St. Joseph’s.

In the third match, we won 3-2 against Burlington.

As we won all our matches, we got through to the semi-finals where we had to play two more matches to get to the final. (We beat Lovelace 3-2 and Ellingham 4-3).

As we won both of those matches, we went through to the final against St. Mary’s (who win every year).

All the other schools were cheering us on and saying, ’Please beat St. Mary’s as they always win,’ and in the end, we beat them and now we’re off to the London Youth Games and Crystal Palace in March!
