As part of our science week, we thoroughly enjoyed finding out about the effect of metal on the colour of flames. We learned some of the names of various elements using the Periodic table, oxidised the metals and discovered how the flame changed colour. We loved the surprise of the different colours and now understand the basics behind making fireworks! We loved it. We also watched a science workshop display, which was brilliant and we will be testing our contraptions that we created for the Great Egg Drop. Let's hope our egg does not crack!!!
